How to Use Odin Download for Samsung Stock Rom Flash
Odin Download is a tool that allows you to flash custom Samsung firmware onto your Samsung Galaxy device. If you want to flash stock Samsung firmware, but don’t want to use Odin and sideload it, then Odin is the way to go.
The app itself is free and simple to use, but users should be aware that it only works for the bootloader version of Samsung devices and not for OTA updates (if there are any). Odin does not do anything with OTA builds or custom recovery configurations. You must have a Samsung-made bootloader (BEB) installed on your device in order for Odin to work properly.
How to Backup Your Bootloader, Modem, and EFS Using Odin Download for Samsung Stock Rom Flash
I have just published Odin Download for Samsung Stock Rom Flash, a tutorial on how to flash a stock ROM on your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone using Odin. How to Restore a Nandroid Backup Using Odin Download for Samsung Stock Rom Flash
Odin Download is a wonderful tool, and an indispensable one, if you are going to root your phone. It allows you to flash Samsung’s stock ROMs and it also allows you to use Odin (the tool used to perform the flashing) as a file manager.
After rooting your device you will need to flash stock ROMs using Odin. First, though, you need to make sure that you have rooted your device and flashed the ROM in question. If you have not done so yet, follow these steps:
• Press “Volume Down + Power” until the “Wake Up” screen appears
• Choose “Reboot System” from the menu
If you have already rooted your device but have not flashed the ROM yet, follow these steps:
• Deselect all of your pre-rooted devices in Odin (if any)
• Connect all of your pre-rooted devices in Odin – if necessary – until the first time that “Connecting…” appears
Then select all of those devices except for one. That one should be the device on which you would like to flash the ROM. Choose that one in Odin and press “Flashing..” until a box appears asking if this is OK; then select Yes. This will flash everything on that device except for that one selected item. Do not remove this item from Odin (you can just re-select it). Then select Flashing… once again and choose YES once more (this will flash the selected item on this device only). This process continues until all items are flashed on that one selected device: Samsung Galaxy S9+. If there are more than two selected items, repeat steps 5-7 until all of them are flashing in Odin – then select Yes once more (this will flash everything else on this device only). Once done go back into Odin and select Flashing… Once again choose YES once more (this will flash everything else on this device only). After that, no further Odin steps need to be performed on this particular target device so long as it stays unrooted. You may now disconnect from all other connected devices by choosing Restore from here. If any problems arise during this process ensure that they do not affect your choice of the target device or anything else along those lines – if so proceed with restored phone setup. At which point, you can disconnect from all other connected devices… or continue with the normal setup.
